CMPA Memberships

The Canadian Music Publisher Association is a voluntary, member driven association that represents and speaks on behalf of music publishers to the public, media, government and other organizations. We lobby to ensure that copyright reform legislations are modernized to protect Canada’s music publishers and their songwriting partners.Our members not only own and/or administer the majority of copyrighted works performed and reproduced within Canada, but they also participate in annual workshops and symposiums dealing directly with teaching the youth about the business of music publishing.

Members of CMPA have access to the latest industry information through our newsletter Music Publisher Canada. CMPA has partnered with government and other publishing associations to conduct in-depth industry research that will provide valuable insight  for its members.

We offer five types of memberships:

Active Memberships
Active members administer one or more active music catalogues in Canada and are entitled to four votes on any issue.

Associate Memberships
Associate members are people with a general interest in music publishing and are entitled to one vote.

International Memberships
International members are people engaging in music publishing outside of Canada.

Honorary Memberships
Honorary members are recognized by CMPA for providing outstanding services and special contributions to the music publishing business.

Student Memberships
